  Registering
  1. In order to post an item to be auctioned off,  you must first be registered.

To register, simply click on the Register link.  Choose a user name which you can easily remember, and fill in the other required fields.  Your password will automatically be generated and emailed to you.  You can change your password at any time by choosing the Member Services option and then clicking the Change Your Password link.

You only need to register once,  as you can change your user information at any time by choosing Member Services, and then clicking the Edit My Registration link.

Notes: There may only be one account per email address.  The system will not let you create more than one account with the same email address.

  Listing an Item
  1. You can list an item by navigating to the category where you want your item listed, and then choosing the Add an Auction link. Do not list an item unless you are sure you are willing to sell it according to the auction or sale that you set up.

Note: Not all categories allow items to be listed directly within them.  Only those categories that allow listings to be added have an Add an Auction link.

  2.

Once you choose the correct category for your item,  simply follow all the onscreen instructions to add your item.  All options that have an associated charge will note that charge when you choose it. Use the Help links if you are confused by any options. You can use simple HTML in the Description, such as formatting and links, but not complex tags for things like frames, forms, and headers.

After the main item information screen, you will be able to add pictures. Pictures will be downsized by the system to a max of 400 by 400 pixels. If you try to upload a huge file (over 500 Kilobytes, such as a file from your digital camera) you will most likely get a timeout and the image won't load. Use image editing software such as your digital camera software (use the save for Web or save for Email option) or Microsoft Photopaint to reduce the file size.

  3.

Once you have entered all the information about your item,  you will be presented with a preview screen where you can review all of the information you have entered and options you have chosen. Use the Back button to go back and make any necessary changes.  Do not press the Finish button until you are absolutely sure that all of the information is correct.  You will have very few options to change or edit any information (though you can add to it and make changes to a few items, see below) once you press the Finish button.

Once you press the Finish button your auction will be listed immediately and you will be presented with a link to where you can view your auction.

  Changing a Listing
  1. You can edit a listing by going to the My Auctions section and clicking the Edit button for the listing you wish to edit. All you can change is the Flash Buy price or your Auto Relist option, and change the Description or pictures.
  2.

Cancelling the auction. You cannot cancel an auction. You can, however close an auction early. This will send a notice to the high bidder that they have won the auction. Closing auctions and not delivering the product you placed for sale without good reason will result in negative Feedback and may result in termination of your account.

If you must close an auction early due to an error you did not catch in your listing, contact all the bidders before you close the auction, explain why you are closing it and that it will be relisted with corrections, and then close it. You'll find a Close button for each auction on the My Auctions menu item >> My Auctions tab >> Open Auctions page.
