Description

Abeka Economicsset of six books

This set includes the textbook, student test book, student quiz book, test key, quiz key, and the teacher’s guide.

Economics: Work and Prosperity textbookThis outstanding text by the late Dr. Russell Kirk, one of the leading conservative writers in the United States, seems less like a textbook than other A Beka books, probably because it is so well written. Dr. Kirk uses our daily encounters with economics (at the grocery store, the shopping mall, etc.) to illustrate principles, but he also tackles larger, philosophical issues in a very understandable fashion. As we would expect from this author, he explains and defends the free enterprise system.

Thought/discussion questions are at the end of each small section, and a mix of vocabulary words, identification and thought/essay questions is at the end of each chapter. The questions are interesting and relevant.

This book is listed as a one-semester course for twelfth grade level, but the reading level is appropriate for most high schoolers. Students must have the familiarity with modern history that is necessary for full comprehension. Generally one would use this text with Abeka’s American Government text since each is a one-semester course.

The textbook is in excellent condition inside and out. It sells for $21.25 new.

The teacher’s guide includes chapter suggested daily pacing, reading quizzes, teacher notes for extended discussion, and answer key to the text. This book is in excellent condition and sells for $29.50 new.

The test key is a copy of the test books which has answers and suggested point setvalues. It is in excellent condition and sells for $10.75 new.

The quiz key is a copy of the quiz book which has answers and suggested point values. It is in excellent condition and sells for $10.75 new.

The quiz book is in excellent condition and sells for $5.25 new.

The test book is in excellent condition and sells for $5.25 new.

This is a $82.75 value at a great price.
